I am a trained Gestalt group and individual psychotherapist and an EMDR therapist.
I provide a safe, supportive, warm, non-judgmental and confidential environment for you to be able to explore difficulties which may be challenging you. I use an integrative approach to therapy which includes, gestalt psychotherapy, EMDR therapy, person-centred therapy, psychodynamic therapy and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). Being trained as primarily as a gestalt psychotherapist, the search for awareness and meaning with a focus of the here-and-now (present moment), experiences is fundamental to the way in which I work. Gestalt therapy in its approach understands that awareness of self may have diminished or become blocked by negative thought patterns and behaviours that can leave people feeling unhappy, stuck or distressed. I work collaboratively with clients to deepen awareness of these blocks and unhelpful patterns, and from this place, a choiceful change can emerge.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), is an effective psychotherapy method, that enables people to heal from the symptoms and traumas that are the result of disturbing life events.

- Combat trauma

- Assault
