I support individuals by establishing a trusting therapeutic relationship in a safe and non-judgemental environment, enabling us to explore your concerns, feelings and thoughts as a way of making sense of your current and past experiences. We are all unique, and no one type of therapy fits us all, which is why I work in an integrative, relational way that draws on a variety of approaches including psychodynamic, neuroscience-based attachment theories, and mindfulness.
I have been working in mental health for over 20 years in different capacities with people from all ages and backgrounds. I am a fully qualified integrative psychotherapist who has trained at the renowned Metanoia Institute. Over the last 13 years I have worked as a psychotherapist and supervisor in the NHS, and currently work part-time with a psychology service in Central and North West London NHS Trust. Previously I worked as a mental health social worker, and I also set up counselling services for refugees in developing countries with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). I continue to provide psychological support to staff in MSF.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
