I am an EMDR Therapist.
I work with victims of crime and survivors of sexual abuse and those who have been subject to domestic abuse etc. I also provide work place counselling for employees. For example - Health, Local authority workers, Police etc.
I have 15 + years experience of working in statutory services with adults who have enduring physical and/or mental health needs, autism and learning disabilities. I have also previously worked for 6 years on a mental health telephone support line for individuals in crisis/distress and at suicide risk.
My work includes individuals with depression, anxiety, life transitions, loss/bereavement (including ill-health, redundancy, end of life), bullying/discrimination, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, abuse (including domestic, childhood sexual abuse), victims of crime, self-harm and addictions, and issues around sexuality.
I am able to provide a safe, confidential, compassionate, non-judgemental and supportive environment, and I am committed to my ongoing professional development, and supporting client's in reaching their potential and improving their quality of life.
I am mainly available for day time sessions. I am happy to undertake brief and long-term work.
BA Hons in Social Work, 1st class with Distinction and Diploma in Integrative Relational Psychotherapy.
I am able to offer telephone or on-line therapy.
EMDR treatment is available either online or in-person.
