My client is at the centre of my approach to therapy.
When life is a struggle, it can be surprisingly helpful to speak to someone who really listens, carefully, warmly, and without judgement. It can be a starting point to finding a way forward, especially if it is currently difficult to speak to those around you or you’re going around in circles with an intractable issue.
My approach is to work alongside my clients to help them achieve their objectives and to help them develop a more understanding and accepting relationship with themselves.
Ultimately everyone is their own life expert. By working together, we can help fine tune this expertise to deliver on what brings a client into therapy.
Originally from Nigeria, I have a mixed tribal and religious heritage, and I've lived and studied the majority of my life in the UK.
I worked in advertising for the 25 years and I'm currently working as a psychotherapist at The School of Life and in private practice.
I work with adults (18+) offering both short and long-term sessions depending on client need. I am experienced in working with issues related to anxiety, depression, shame, gender dysphoria, bereavement and grief, addiction, self-loathing and feeling marginalised due to race, gender or sexuality.
I am also a clinical supervisor in training and I currently offer a low cost clinical supervision.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
