My Approach

In the first session will get a chance to meet and discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and how we might work together to achieve this.

This is an opportunity for you to share as much as you feel comfortable with me. The aim of this appointment is for you to establish if you feel I am the right therapist for you and if so we can agree a way forward in terms of your identifying your desired outcomes for therapy and frequency and timing of appointments.

About Me

I am Senior Accredited and UKCP Registered integrative relational psychotherapist and I work both long and short term with people.
I believe people want to feel well and happy whenever possible and I work towards helping you to find positive solutions to whatever has brought you into therapy

I am happy to speak on the phone prior to making an appointment to explore what you are wanting from therapy and give you a chance to feel if I am the right person for you to work with.

Following on from this I offer an initial assessment appointment where we meet and discuss what you are wanting from therapy and then we can decide together how we can work towards your aims.

I am qualified in a variety of theories - Relational, CBT, Rewind Technique for Trauma and phobias, Transactional Analysis which focusses on dynamics in relationships. The initial appointment offers an opportunity to consider what approach may be most helpful for you and plan a way forward.

I have experience of working in a wide range of settings and am also qualified as a supervisor of therapists.
