I believe the therapeutic relationship has a wonderful potential to allow the safe exploration of feelings. I offer a non-judgmental space which can help you make sense of your life experiences. Therapy is not something that is done to you it is a process that we enter together in order for you to begin to discover what you want from your life and where you’re getting stuck in repeating patterns.
I hold a diploma in Eco psychotherapy and believe that the wider systems have an impact on our mental wellbeing. I hold a specialist interest in working with young people and younger adults who are struggling with eco anxiety and eco distress.
Life can be hard; at these times it can be difficult to ask for help and see beyond our immediate unhappiness. Taking the initial step of seeing a therapist can be daunting but most people experience a sense of relief when they share what is troubling them. I believe the therapeutic relationship has a wonderful potential to allow the safe exploration of feelings. I offer a non-judgmental space which can help you make sense of your life experiences.
I am a teacher with over 20 years’ experience and a qualified Integrative Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist. I have worked therapeutically within educational settings and the charity sector with young people (aged 3 to 18) and adults offering one to one therapy sessions. I also work closely with parents in reflective parenting sessions to facilitate their understanding of what their child is communicating through their behaviours.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
