My Approach

In therapy, we use the strengths and resources that you bring to get to where you want to go in your life and relationships. My aim is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where anything can be expressed, felt, and ultimately transformed. I seek to understand you, the richness of your lived experience and your context. Whether you come to therapy alone or with family members we explore together to generate new ideas, understanding, experiences and choices.

At your pace, we work with your whole self - your beliefs and thoughts, emotions and your physiology. I am curious, empathic and accepting of whatever you bring in to the room, I may tentatively offer ideas and practices for you to try.

Through my own experience I am convinced of the utility of working with the mind and the body to improve wellbeing. Outside of my therapy practice I offer yoga classes and one to one yoga sessions.

About Me

I am a Systemic and Family Therapist and have over 20 years of experience working therapeutically with individuals, families, and caregivers. My approach is grounded in the understanding that we are shaped by the systems we live within—whether it’s our family, workplace, friendships, cultural environment, or the internal system of our own body. I believe in the powerful interplay between these systems and how they influence our well being and relationships.

I have an MSc in Systemic Psychotherapy (Distinction), am trained to intermediate level in Somatic Experiencing® (SE®) and Level 2 in Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP). I have additional training in Theraplay® and a Diploma and MSc in social work studies. I work under supervision and am registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the Association for Family Therapy (AFT).

I am trained as a yoga teacher with the British Wheel of Yoga (BWY) and offer weekly classes and one to one yoga sessions

Personally, I am a parent to a neurodiverse young person and another child transitioning to independence. I live in Leicestershire with my husband, our family, and our labrador, Jess.

I can offer face to face or virtual psychotherapy. I am based in Loughborough, Leicestershire.
