My work is grounded in psychodynamic theory, which explores how our earliest relationships and experiences may continue to influence our emotions, behaviours, and patterns of relating.
I aim to offer a safe and supportive space where we can explore complex thoughts and feelings together. As we’re often influenced by unconscious motivations, therapy can help bring these into awareness, allowing for deeper understanding, acceptance and meaningful change.
In shorter-term work, I draw on solution-focused and compassion-based approaches to help you make practical changes and improve your sense of wellbeing, relationships, and self-esteem.
I understand that taking the first step can feel daunting. You're welcome to email me to arrange a free, brief introductory phone or Zoom call. This is a chance for us to discuss your needs, answer any questions you may have, and consider whether working together feels like the right fit.
I’m a psychotherapist based in the Brighton and Hove area, offering weekly sessions either in person or online. I work with individuals on both a short-term, solution-focused basis and through longer-term psychodynamic psychotherapy.
My background includes managing mental health services and supporting vulnerable adults, which gave me valuable insight into how early life experiences shape our relationships and emotional wellbeing. This understanding inspired me to train as a psychodynamic therapist. I’ve worked with people from diverse backgrounds, including those affected by trauma, homelessness, addiction, neurodivergence, and various mental health diagnoses.
In addition to my private practice, I also work as a therapist in a higher education setting. I support clients facing a wide range of issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, trauma, loss, eating disorders, and more.
