I offer a warm, non-judgmental and trustworthy space within which we can explore difficulties. My approach is collaborative and flexible; you are the expert on your own situation, and at the outset, we work together to agree aims or goals that are unique to you. Working relationally, it's really important that we establish a positive relationship and that we fit well together; this way we can talk together, with kindness and honesty, to explore your experiences and feelings. Lastly, I place great value on reliability, diligence, trustworthiness and safety, observing UKCP's ethical code of conduct, to always work in the best interests of my clients.
I am a qualified humanistic psychotherapist, which means that I believe that everyone has the capacity to change, heal and lead a happier and more fulfilled life. I have five years experience of client work, meeting people of varied ages and cultural backgrounds with many different challenges and difficulties. I have experience working with both long and short-term clients, face-to-face and online too. Having trained in mid-life, I draw on many years of previous life experiences to inform my practice, including professional working environments and living abroad. I have a particular interest in working with loss including bereavement, childhood trauma, relationship and family breakdown and job loss.
