My Approach

I have trained in Transactional Analysis and I have a specific attachment to relational psychotherapy. I believe that the relationship between therapist and client is at the core of the therapeutic work.

About Me

My name is Valeria and I am a qualified Transactional Analysis Psychotherapist (CTA-P) and Psychotherapeutic Counsellor. I have an MA in Philosophy and a MSc in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy.

I work with

  • Companies
  • Couples
  • Families
  • Groups
  • Individuals
  • Private healthcare referrals

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I work with couples in their journey of understanding, challenges and growth. Some couples might bring trust issues, communication issues, infidelity, doubts, etc. By couple I mean a relationship any relationship between two individuals.
I work with expats, migrants, and all those people who find themselves in living, working, settling in a place they don’t consider home or those who find themselves in a place distant from their place of birth for voluntary reason or as a consequence of enforced displacement. I am supportive of your encounter with cultures as a place to learn about yourself and your position in this world.
Since early on in my training and practice, I have acquired knowledge to sustain my passion of working with parents. I support people at different stages of parenthood journey, from considering parenthood to the challenges of parenting. I work with those who meet difficulties in the early stages parenthood (such as infertility) and those who face the challenges of practical, emotional, financial, relational constraints that parenting might involve (parental burnout, parenting choices, financial limitations, etc). I work with parents who face loss in their parenting journey or are impacted by mental health and wellbeing issues (attachment issues, anxiety and depression in the pre-natal or post-natal period, identity issues connected to becoming a parent, etc). I believe relational therapy can help parents in their parenthood journey and create space to explore, reflect, connect with ourselves.
I am supportive of those who are training in the helping professions (therapists, counsellors, mental health practitioners, nurses, social workers, etc). I am curious to explore together the narratives behind our desires and determination to be a helping professionals, and I am supportive of your journey to discover the interconnection between the personal and professional realms in the helping professions.
Being it physical, emotional, sexual, historical, racial, cultural, etc. I am here to connect with you and hear what you want to share about your trauma. I believe that relational therapy is facilitative of post traumatic growth and I hope we can meet this place of growth through our working together.
