I believe that in any therapeutic meeting curiosity and compassion are our allies, helping us to approach fears and hurts and hopes with discernment and kindness rather than judgment.
My orientation is integrative-transpersonal, I also draw from Attachment Theory, Neuroscience as well as Mindfulness, spiritual and trauma-informed approaches. I offer an informed, flexible approach to each person's unique life situation.
I am also a qualified, registered Supervisor with over 17 years’ experience of supervising both individuals and groups.
I provide supervision to counsellors and psychotherapists in private practise, and have extensive experience of working with individuals and groups across diverse organisational settings, including; schools and colleges, NHS counselling services, The Children’s Society, Cruse Bereavement Service, and a number of organisations providing support to Asylum Seekers, Refugees and other Migrants in crisis.
I'm a fully qualified Psychotherapist with over 25 years’ experience. I offer a confidential, non-judgemental space where anxieties, fears, frustrations and sorrows can be expressed and explored together. Therapy can help to address specific difficulties and address pain, anger, loss, shame and trauma. It's also a playful, vibrant, creative process which can promote deepening understanding, acceptance and fresh perspectives. Sometimes by pushing beyond familiar (perhaps out-dated, limiting) beliefs and assumptions, we discover new possibilities (and joys) in life.
During Covid-19 lockdown I moved my whole practice on line (Zoom and VSee). While most of my practice continues on-line, I am now also offering a limited number of face to face slots.
