For me, the relationship between therapist and client can be an essential vehicle for growth and change. My approach draws on Gestalt and Psychodynamic theories. From early childhood we develop ways of being so that we can manage in our environment. Sometimes in adulthood, maybe without us being aware, these same coping strategies hold us back - affecting our relationships, work, behaviour or lifestyle. I can work with you using our relationship and the skills from my training and experience to understand the challenges you face, perhaps looking at alternative perspectives, to discover new resources to support you in making changes to enable you to thrive.
I work online using Zoom or in person in Shrewsbury town centre.

Please email me and I will get back to you within 2 working days to arrange an initial free 15 minute consultation. If we agree that we could work together, we will then agree a time for your first session.
What to Expect in the first session
We will establish what you wish to gain from therapy, discuss what therapy might involve and consider any questions you might have. The session will be 50 minutes. If we agree to continue to work together I will offer weekly sessions of 50 minutes, usually at the same time each week.
I offer a safe and supportive space for you to talk about your experiences, the challenges you face and any changes you would like to make to the way you live now. Maybe you feel overwhelmed, anxious or low or perhaps something from your past or present is disturbing your peace of mind. It could be that, to move towards the changes you long for, you need to explore thoughts, feelings and behaviours in depth.
I have a Masters Degree and an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy. I have clinical experience working in both the NHS and the charity sector.
