My Approach

My training in Integrative Transpersonal Psychotherapy has equipped me with a deep understanding of various therapeutic approaches. While I draw from key theories in Psychoanalytic, Humanistic, and Existential traditions, my practice is further enriched by a Transpersonal perspective, offering a holistic approach to healing.

Depending on your needs, I may use techniques such as guided visualisations, artwork, breathing exercises, and other creative methods to help you connect with your inner wisdom. I’ve found these methods to be highly effective and often integral to the therapeutic process.

Above all, my priority is to create a warm, nurturing, and confidential space where you can feel safe to explore whatever is on your mind.

If you’d like to take the next step, please feel free to reach out by email. You can schedule a free 20-minute introductory video call via the email link above or contact me on WhatsApp. During this call, we can discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, and I’ll be happy to answer any questions you have about the process and how I work.

My email is tortiedalzell@gmail.com. I look forward to connecting with you

About Me

My name is Tortie, and I am a qualified psychotherapist based in West London, offering online sessions via Zoom.

In today’s fast-paced and often overwhelming world, life can take unexpected turns, leaving us feeling anxious, isolated, or misunderstood. It's easy to bottle up these emotions, thinking no one will understand or that talking about them won’t help. But deep down, we know that opening up is often the first step toward healing — if we can find the right person to talk to.

Through psychotherapy, you can make meaningful and lasting changes in your life. As a fully qualified psychotherapist, I provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings. In this supportive environment, you’ll gain insights and develop the tools to make the changes you need to move forward.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I work with clients to address anxiety by creating a safe and supportive environment where they can openly explore their feelings and fears. Together, we’ll uncover the root causes of their anxiety and identify the thought patterns and behaviours that contribute to it. By offering genuine emotional support and validation, my goal is to help clients feel understood and less isolated in their experience. I guide clients in developing healthier coping strategies, building resilience, and regaining a sense of control over their anxious thoughts and emotions.
I provide a safe and supportive space for clients navigating complex family dynamics or overcoming challenging relationships with their parents. I help explore the impact of family patterns, childhood experiences, and unmet emotional needs, offering insight into how these dynamics may be affecting their current relationships and overall well-being. Together, we work to process past wounds, establish healthy boundaries, and develop strategies for healing and self-empowerment. Whether it's addressing feelings of abandonment, control, criticism, or any other form of familial conflict, my goal is to support clients in understanding their experiences, fostering self-compassion, and creating healthier connections with themselves and their families moving forward.
Whether you are in a long-term partnership, facing issues of trust, communication, or intimacy, or navigating the complexities of dating. Whether it’s dealing with trust issues, managing differences in values or goals, rebuilding emotional intimacy, or simply improving communication, I provide a safe space to express feelings, gain clarity, and develop healthier ways of relating to one another. My goal is to help clients create stronger, more fulfilling romantic relationships that are rooted in mutual respect, understanding, and emotional support.
As a psychotherapist, I help clients manage stress by creating a safe, supportive space for them to express their feelings. Together, we identify the sources of their stress and the thought patterns that contribute to it. I then guide them through coping strategies like mindfulness, relaxation techniques, and cognitive restructuring. I also encourage self-compassion, helping clients view stress as a natural part of life that can be managed, ultimately building resilience and healthier responses to challenges
