I am an Integrative Psychotherapist which means that I draw on a range of theories and methods to inform how I work with my clients. I believe that there is no single approach that can treat each client in all situations, so I will work with each person in a bespoke way, tailoring my approach to their needs and therapy goals.
I also utilise EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) which is a powerful scientifically proven psychotherapy to help people recover from traumatic events in their lives which have led to poor mental health. Whilst best known for treating PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder), EMDR can help with a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression and anxiety. EMDR therapy is endorsed by NHS, the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), World Health Organisation, and many other bodies.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists, I am trained in and have experience working with a range of issues, including stress, burnout, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, life transitions, identity, life purpose, relationships and sexual issues, work and career issues, trauma and bereavement, amongst others. Of course, there may be other reasons you are seeking help, and I will be happy to discuss your specific situation and needs to determine how we can work together on moving your life forward. Ultimately, therapy is about developing new perspectives and behaviours which will enable you to be more adaptive, resilient and lead a more meaningful, balanced and fulfilling life.
I offer a complimentary 30-minute call to answer your questions and help you decide whether I am the right psychotherapist for you.
I am a Psychotherapist and an EMDR Therapist. EMDR is a unique, powerful therapy that helps people recover from problems triggered by traumatic events in their lives.
A bit about myself. After graduating from university in the US, I joined booming financial services industry, but after a while started noticing that it was people, not financial markets, that interested me. I then got an MBA from INSEAD in France and came to the UK to work in Human Resources – the profession which allowed me to address the human aspects of work and support people along their work journeys.
I have always loved listening to people’s stories, so I decided to study psychotherapy in order to understand others and myself better and learn how to help people at a deeper, more personal level. I received a Master’s Degree (Distinction) and Post-Graduate Certificate in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling from Regent’s University, London. Today I combine working in a corporate setting with working as a psychotherapist.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
