I am an Integrative Child Psychotherapist, with over 8 years experience of working therapeutically with children and young people. I have provided therapy to young people within both primary and secondary school settings and have also worked extensively with young people within the care system.
I trained at the Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education and the Centre for Child Mental Health, where I graduated with a MA in Integrative Child Psychotherapy, a PGDIP in Therapeutic and Educational Application of the Arts and a PGCert in Child Counselling Using the Arts.
My experience includes but is not limited to, issues of bereavement, trauma, abuse, neglect, anger, identity, attachment difficulties, family breakdown, anxiety and depression. I have worked with young people with specific mental health problems, learning disabilities and whom display complex and challenging behaviour.
I always aim to work in an empathic, reflective and non judgmental way, recognising and honouring the uniqueness of each individual and adapting my approach to one that best fits the client. I provide a safe and confidential space that promotes trust and open communication.
