My Approach

I offer weekly 50 minute sessions online: I am available to all couples, married or unmarried, straight or gay, from any cultural, racial or ethnic background. Some of the couples I see are seeking help that will enable them to stay together; others are exploring ways of limiting the pain of parting. I also provide therapy to individuals who wish to discuss problems in their relationships with others.
As both a couples and psychosexual therapist, I combine couple or individual therapy where there is a sexual component to the problem. I may then offer a behavioural approach which may include a series of exercises which the client(s) undertake at home between sessions.

About Me

I am an experienced relationship and psychosexual therapist working online with adults and individuals experiencing problems in their relationships.

I trained and qualified at Tavistock Relationships, London, UK and University Paris 8, France. In the UK, I was awarded an MA in Psychodynamic Couple Counselling (with Merit) and a Diploma in Psychosexual and Relationship therapy (with Distinction). In France, I was awarded a Licence de Psychologie, equivalent of a BSc in Clinical Psychology.

I am an Academic Tutor at Tavistock Relationships (TR), and I have previously worked as a visiting clinician and assessor at TR. In the NHS, I worked as a Psychosexual Therapist (St Pancras, Sexual Problems Clinic).

I am an Accredited member of the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT), a Registered member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and, as such, I am bound by their codes of practice and ethics.

Bilingual in French and English, I offer sessions either in English and/or in French. I work with many bilingual couples.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I recognise that seeing a therapist is a difficult decision to make. When we talk about our most intimate, private relationships, it can feel like navigating around an insurmountable obstacle. It is normal to hesitate, to feel anxious. During our 50-minute weekly sessions, we can explore together the issues that have caused you to consider therapy: it might be a breakdown of communication with a partner, frequent arguments, conflicting goals. There may also be fertility problems, parenting difficulties, depression or anxiety. Our conversations might also address broader relationship or individual issues: processing change and loss, recovering after an affair, or deciding whether to separate or to try to stay together.
Many people experience physical issues relating to sex: loss of desire, erectile dysfunction, difficulty with orgasm, painful sex, etc. If you are having sexual difficulties, my goal is to help you rekindle your desire by focusing on paths to pleasurable, positive and playful sex.
