My Approach

My training is in Humanisitic and Integrative Psychotherapy, which means I draw on theories that link our past experiences with how we are in the present, but also work very much in the moment, supporting you through your current situation whilst building and strengthening your own ability to be healthy in yourself and your relationships.

About Me

I am a Psychotherapist (MA Dip HIP) working online and in person in Bath and Frome. I completed my training at Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling, establishing my own psychotherapy practice over five years ago. I am UKCP registered.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

Working with the underlying feelings and sense of self that might result in addiction behaviours. I have experience working with additions to alcohol, substances, self-harm.
An interest in working with ageing and the coming to terms with existential anxiety. Also an interest in the changes of the body related to ageing, such as menopause and peri-menopause, and how this is reflected through our psychological well-being.
I have experience working with clients who have experienced disordered eating including bulimia and anorexia. Working to harmonise and integrate the parts of self that aren't working in our best interests. Understanding the underlying, unspoken trauma and experience of self that may lead to feelings of emptiness, low self worth and an ambivalence that results in a stuckness and lack of vitality in the world.
Experience working with fertility issues and the complex responses to successful and failed fertility interventions.
I have experience working with clients with PTSD and CPTSD, with special interest in how trauma manifests in somatic symptoms and a dissociation. Working to reinstate an openness to healthy connections with self and others.
