I offer both short- and long-term Counselling and psychotherapy with a range of therapeutic interventions which best suit your needs. some of these include creative ways using imagery, mindfulness, and spirituality. At the heart of therapy will be our relationship, offering a trusting and warm space to understand your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours and how these relate to your ‘here and now’ problems.
My wealth of experience and training over the years has enabled me to specialise in working with a range of life challenges including, sexual abuse, Race, culture, body image, low self-esteem, identity, gender, relationships, and trauma (including trans-generational trauma) though, this is not an exhaustive list.
As a practitioner I have a keen interest in how our mental health connects to the illnesses within the body. Thus, I help to make mind, body and spiritual connections in a safe environment which facilitates the healing of historical wounds. It is by improving the relationship with our bodies, minds, and social connections that we see this healing transpire.
‘hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness’ we all present in individual ways and I offer to tailor a therapy that will be right for you.
I am a UKCP accredited, Clinical Integrative Psychotherapist, qualified at MSc level with over 12 years’ experience. Alongside my private practice I work within the IAPT NHS service, with nearly five years’ experience as a high Intensity Integrative Psychological therapist and an IPT (Interpersonal Psychotherapy) psychotherapist, which uses an evidence-based modality to reduce symptoms of moderate to severe depression.
