My approach places you, the client at the heart of your therapy, creating a sacred space to help you find out what you want from life and to reconnect to your true nature. This approach can bring a sense of wholeness rather than trying to 'cure' or 'fix' a part of yourself.
Rooted in the humanistic tradition. I use empathic enquiry and unconditional positive regard, working in the here and now.
I draw on several schools of psychotherapy such as: Psychodynamic, Transactional Analysis, Existential phenomenology and Transpersonal for an integrative approach unique to each individual.
Psychotherapy involves weekly sessions at the same time. Sessions will be tailored to your individual needs, focusing on what you came to achieve. This will involve an agreement at the beginning of therapy between us and sessions will last until you feel like you have got what you need.
Enquiries can also be made via telephone, text message or email.
I currently offer in person sessions at a private practice in Morpeth, Northumberland.
Online sessions are also available on request.
Hello, I'm Stuart- My personal and professional philosophy is 'Connection over Correction'.
Life brings people to therapy for various reasons. Whatever it is in your life that needs tending to, I see my role as helping you to reconnect with your true nature. This can bring a sense of wholeness rather than needing to 'cure' or 'fix' a part of yourself.
I am a humanistic, person-centred psychotherapist having trained at the Northern Guild Psychotherapy and Counselling.
I have been told that I am warm and curious with a grounding presence. When working with me, you can expect to find a safe space for reflection, discussion and opportunity for change.
