UKCP has moved to York House, 221 Pentonville Road, London N1 9UZ. We are updating the address listed in all our documents, please bear with us as we make these changes.
Central to my work is the development of an empathic, curious and playful relationship in which difficult thoughts and emotions can be explored safely. I use play and art therapy in order to help children and young people explore their feelings. Alongside child counselling sessions, I also hold consultations with parents or carers to provide a space for them to think about what is happening within their family.
Hello, my name is Skye McDade-Burn. I am a child psychotherapeutic counsellor. My training was specifically focused on working therapeutically with children and young people, supporting them to express themselves using play and art.
I hold a post-graduate diploma in Child Psychotherapeutic Counselling from the Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education, London. I also hold a Certificate in Philosophy and Psychoanalysis and have completed a course in Attachment, Neurodevelopment and Psychopathology. Before my theraupeutic training, I completed an MA in Modern and Contemporary Literature. I am DBS checked.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
