My Approach

I work collaboratively and integratively, drawing on Attachment and Polyvagal Theory, CBT, Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness-Based Approaches, Psychoeducation, and Relational Transactional Analysis - all within a trauma-informed framework.

I pay close attention to how the nervous system, attachment patterns, and past experiences shape present-day challenges. Being trauma-informed means I work gently and respectfully, avoiding pathologising the ways you’ve learned to cope — whether through food, alcohol, overworking, or emotional withdrawal.

Together we'll explore your emotions, identify unhelpful patterns, rebuild self-trust, strengthen boundaries to protect your wellbeing, and support you in developing a more compassionate relationship with yourself. Some clients benefit from practical tools; others need space to process and make sense of their experiences - many find a blend of both helpful.

My aim is to help you gain clarity about your needs, develop sustainable ways of coping, and experience meaningful, lasting change in your everyday life.

About Me

Hello, I’m Simone - a UKCP Accredited Psychotherapist with 20 years’ experience supporting adults through emotional, relational, and mental health challenges across private practice, voluntary services, and NHS settings.

I’m down to earth, compassionate, curious, and kind. I offer a safe space where you can slow down, breathe, and explore your experiences without pressure to perform or be anything other than yourself. We work at your pace and in a way that feels manageable and respectful of your needs.

I support people experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, boundary challenges, relationship difficulties, and perfectionism. Many clients are processing childhood trauma, navigating emotional regulation, or rethinking coping strategies such as alcohol use, food-based patterns, or overworking.

I specialise in neurodivergent-affirming therapy for autistic, ADHD, and AuDHD adults.

I offer sessions in person in Malvern or online via Zoom, with availability on most weekdays and early evenings.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I offer neurodivergent-affirming therapy that recognises ADHD as a natural neurological difference, not a character flaw or lack of willpower. Through both my professional training and lived experience, I understand the challenges of navigating a world not designed for you. I'm particularly passionate about supporting adults navigating late diagnosis or self-identification - the years of being told you're "too much" or "not enough", the shame around struggling with things that seem easy for others, the exhaustion of compensating, and the process of understanding your ADHD brain without pathologising yourself. My approach focuses on building self-awareness, reducing shame, and developing strategies that work with your ADHD brain, not against it. Rather than focusing on "fixing" you, I support you in understanding how your brain works, managing emotional dysregulation and rejection sensitivity dysphoria (RSD), setting boundaries that protect your wellbeing, and creating sustainable routines that honour your needs. I work with ADHD adults, those questioning whether they might be ADHD, and people who are AuDHD.
I offer neurodivergent-affirming therapy that recognises autism as a natural neurological difference, not a deficit or something to be fixed. Through both my professional training and lived experience, I understand the challenges of navigating a world that wasn't designed for neurodivergent minds. I'm particularly passionate about supporting adults navigating late diagnosis or self-identification - the exhaustion of masking, the grief and relief that often accompany discovery, the process of unlearning internalised ableism, and the journey of figuring out who you are beneath years of adaptation. My approach focuses on building self-awareness, reducing shame, and developing strategies that work with your brain, not against it. Rather than encouraging you to mask or conform, I support you in understanding your authentic needs, setting boundaries that protect your energy, and creating a life that feels sustainable and authentic. I work with autistic adults, those questioning whether they might be autistic, and people who are AuDHD.
I have a special interest in working with stress and trauma through the lens of Polyvagal Theory (PVT); a theory developed by Dr Stephen Porges which emphasizes the role the autonomic nervous system plays in regulating our health and behaviour. PVT focuses on what happens in our body and our nervous system depending on whether we are regulated or dysregulated; it explains how our sense of safety, danger or threat, can impact how we think, feel, and behave in our day-to-day lives and relationships
