My approach involves meeting the individual in their suffering and offering a hand to journey alongside them through the difficulties. It is a relational approach that offers a joint inquiry into the presented challenges.
I offer a holistic process of talk therapy and somatic therapy. This means that we might talk a lot about what is going on in the mind but also invite in the wisdom of the body for a chance at processing trauma and difficulties in an integral way.
I take special interest in the wounds we might obtain from our earliest relationships with caregivers and the impact they might have in our adult lives. I work with techniques such as active imagination, dream work, guided meditation and visualization to access childhood wounds and provide inner child healing.
In my experience with clients and my own inner work, imaginative and creative processes can provide therapeutic resolutions to many attachment wounds and past traumatic incidents. I work in a slow, contained and warm way to meet the individual needs of the client.
I am an Integrative Psychotherapist trained in Mindfulness based psychotherapy at the Karuna Institute.
I am also a yoga and meditation teacher and love weaving together elements of psychotherapy, yoga and spirituality to offer a holistic approach to clients.
Professionally, I love hosting workshops, retreats, online programs and curating resources to help individuals delve into the depths of their inner world.
One such resource that I've created is my book of journal prompts and guided meditations called Unfolding.
Personally, I love learning new things, being in nature, dancing and laughing.
