I work with various models in order to tailor therapy to the individual’s specific needs, and use attachment theory as the starting point of building a therapeutic relationship with my clients. As well as talking therapy, I can utilise a wide range of creative approaches within sessions, including use of imagination and metaphor, as well as optional use of art materials.
I am a UKCP & HCPC Integrative Psychotherapist and Art Therapist working as the Therapy Services Manager at Priory Hospital Woking, as well as my own private practice Wondrous Place.
I have worked extensively with addiction and complex and developmental trauma, including with survivors of childhood sexual abuse and domestic violence.
I have spent over 25 years working in management positions in various health and social care settings, including NHS psychiatric hospitals, prisons, community addiction services, and other voluntary sector agencies.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
