I am a qualified, UKCP accredited and BACP member, Relational Integrative psychotherapist, having done a 5-year UKCP-accredited training. A foundation year, a two year Diploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling, a Masters degree in Psychotherapy and Counselling and a specialisation Postgraduate Certificate year in Integrative Psychotherapy.
As an integrative psychotherapist, I have experience in many different forms of therapy through my training and work. These include Integrative humanistic psychotherapies, Existential philosophies, Internal Family Systems and Psychodynamic psychotherapy. This enables me to tailor my approach specifically to you and your needs. No two humans on earth are the same and neither is their story.
Some of the areas that I work regularly with are addictions and eating disorders, bereavement/ grief, LGBTQ+ related issues, Disability/physical illness, Depression and Anxiety. I also have experience and knowledge working alongside 12-step programs. I speak English, Swedish, French, and Italian. I work both face-to-face mainly in the Marylebone and Mayfair area and remotely online Via Zoom or MS Teams. I have experience in both long-term therapy and time-sensitive short-term therapy with adults between the ages of 18-90.
There are many reasons for seeking psychotherapy. It can be helpful if you want to explore a specific problem or concern, for example, stress, work issues, relationship problems, bereavement, sudden trauma, identity and sexuality issues. Or perhaps you are feeling stuck in your life and experiencing a general lack of purpose, low mood, depression, anxiety or motivation. Therapy can be a valuable tool for self-development at any stage in your life. As a human being, navigating the world we live in does not come with an instruction manual, and it can sometimes feel overwhelming and confusing. As someone who's life was changed thanks to therapy, I see it truly as a gift and something I feel humbled and honoured to be able to offer.
Seeing a therapist can help you understand your situation better so you can make changes. Awareness is the first step to making better decisions about how you live with your past and plan for your future. Understanding the choices you have and what you can control and what you cannot. I offer a positive and supportive environment so you can share your innermost thoughts and feelings in a confidential setting. My approach in therapy is based on a shared journey that we embark on together to attempt to explore and understand your situation better. I truly wholeheartedly believe this is something we are in together.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
