I have been working with a wide range of clients from a variety of backgrounds for over 12 years. I have experience with eating disorders and body image issues, often co-existing with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or childhood trauma. I am experienced in supporting clients through transitional periods in their lives.
In my professional life before training to be a psychotherapist, I have led national leadership programmes in education and mental health, supporting individuals to become effective and successful leaders.
I have an enduring interest in the human experience. I completed my first degree in Psychology twenty years ago, followed by an MSc in Occupational Psychology. Most recently I have gained an MSc in Gestalt Psychotherapy from Metanoia Institute. The modality draws its influences from a diverse range of sources including psychology, Eastern spirituality, psychoanalysis and existential philosophy. I was drawn to Gestalt psychotherapy for the emphasis it places on being present in our lives in a relational and embodied way.
