My Approach

I provide a calm, safe, confidential,and non-judgemental place for you to talk things through. People think about having therapy for many reasons and I understand how difficult it can be to ask for help. I can work with you to help you deal with your problems and find new strategies and hope for the future. You might want to talk about a specific issue, such as anxiety, or you may want to explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours, for example finding yourself repeating certain patterns.

Therapy can be a very effective way to help you consider what is happening and to work out how you would like to be.

I use Transactional Analysis (TA), which is a system for understanding personality and communication in my work. TA psychotherapy is collaborative, we will work together to identify what is happening for you and why this might be, we will identify the strengths you already have and explore what you would like to change.

Therapy can be challenging at times and you will need to take an active role in our therapy sessions, and in your life, to make the decisions and changes that will allow you to reach your goals and to be more content with yourself and your relationships.

About Me

I am qualified in counselling and psychotherapy, with years of experience helping people through the many difficulties that life can bring.

I offer online and outdoor therapy where we can explore the issues you are facing in a natural setting.

I have an advanced diploma in counselling, I am a Certified Transactional Analyst and hold an MSc in psychotherapy. I also have extensive training in outdoor or ecotherapy.

I have been in private practice in Burton upon Trent for five years, before setting up my practice I worked in the advice sector, working with charities and public sector organisations.

I hold an up to date enhanced DBS certificate and have regular supervision.
