My systemic lens focuses on the narrative approach with individuals, couples and families. Using the narrative approach enables us to understand and explore the intra and inter subjective worlds through collaboration and dialogue to explore and develop alternative meanings to our truth, beliefs, actions and interactions, thus working towards a solution focused process of change. This way of working draws on my ethical approach to encapsulate the diversity and intersectionality of the communities I work within.
I have 37 years experience working in psychological wellbeing services with the NHS and have been a part of collaborative teams working towards therapeutic interventions to aid the recovery of individuals and groups.
Whilst in training over the last 7 years, I worked towards gaining an MSc in Systemic psychotherapy and qualified in 2020 at the Family Institute Cardiff.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
