My Approach

Rooted in Transactional Analysis, my practice is collaborative, respectful, and attuned to the individual needs of each person. My aim is to embody the philosophical assumptions of Transactional Analysis:

1) That everyone is ‘okay’, in other words all people have intrinsic value and worth.
2) That everyone (except those with severely limiting brain conditions) has the capacity to think for themselves.
3) That everyone has the capacity for change and growth.

I welcome clients from all walks of life, including those drawn to integrate healing and growth with a sense of meaning, values, and/or spiritual belief.

Alongside one-to-one work, I offer couples therapy, and group therapy. I enjoy working creatively, drawing on approaches such as guided visualisation and narrative exploration. These methods can bring to light hidden dynamics, untold stories, and new perspectives.

About Me

Hello and welcome. I am a qualified psychotherapist (Certified Transactional Analyst) with a compassionate, grounded, and collaborative approach. My special areas of interest, and additional training include: relationships, trauma, life transitions and changes, loss, and spirituality. I believe in the power of therapy to support healing, deepen self-awareness, and restore connection — both within ourselves and in our relationships with others.

In addition to an established private practice, I have a background in counselling and psychotherapy within charities, including: therapy for mums who have experienced abuse in their previous relationship, therapy for young adults exploring issues linked to identity and LGBTQIA+ related issues, and therapy for those experiencing complex grief following bereavement.

I work with

  • Couples
  • Families
  • Groups
  • Individuals

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I offer support with the transitions, challenges and growth opportunities that can arise across the life span – from navigating menopause to facing ageing, loss or shifting identity. I aim to foster self-acceptance and vitality at every stage of life.
Transactional Analysis is a wonderful model for gaining insight into dynamics and repeating patterns within ourselves and between people and nature. I support individuals, couples, family members, and friends in exploring relational dynamics, patterns and communication styles, with a focus on increasing intimacy, autonomy and mutual understanding. My work is grounded in respect for diversity in relationship structures and identities.
I welcome the exploration of spiritual beliefs, existential questions and the search for meaning. Whether you hold a particular faith or identify as spiritual in a broader sense, I create space for this dimension to be integrated into therapy in a respectful and affirming way.
My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirmative and trans-inclusive. I offer a safe, respectful space to explore gender identity, transition-related experiences or the impact of societal narratives, while honouring each person’s unique path and truth.
I offer a sensitive and grounded approach to working with trauma, supporting people to process painful experiences safely and to reconnect with their sense of self, choice and inner resilience. My practice is informed by Transactional Analysis and the wider accepted tri-phased approach of: establishing actual and sense of safety, processing traumatic experience(s), and integrating and moving forward with a sense of acknowledgement, autonomy and homonomy.
