My approach is centred on Person-centred values whereby when you develop autonomy, through self-trust you will be able to manage your life and work out what decisions and choices are best for you. Through developing a trusting relationship in counselling, this is possible by taking time to learn about yourself and bring about the changes that you seek. This may take a session or a few weeks or longer.
Grounding and safety are important and you may find various techniques and approaches useful such as inner child work, focusing on the body and mindfulness techniques helpful. Using your own means of self expression to find the clarity and healing that you are looking for can also help.
It takes alot of courage to come to counselling and having travelled on my own counselling journey I know how valuable it can be. Searching for a counsellor is the start. Do give me a call if you think I could help you.
Hello, I'm Sally, welcome.
I am a qualified psychotherapist with experience of working with clients in both short term and long term counselling.
I have experience of helping with anxiety, depression, feelings of helplessness, abuse of different kinds, physical and emotional. Clients have included those who couldn't make sense of their lives, some who have found it hard to step outside of their front door feeling like they have lost control of their lives. I have helped adults of all ages who have suffered from difficult or abusive families . I will help you to feel that you have a safe place to be without being judged and develop self trust so that you can make the decisions and choices to help you move forward in your life.
I have also worked with students on counselling/psychotherapy courses.
If you feel I can help you, you can e mail me or leave a message on my mobile, I will get back to you. You might want to have an introductory phone call so that I can answer any questions you may have.
Sessions are £55 online or face to face at Matlock Therapy Rooms.
