Based in London, I offer once-weekly, open-ended and time limited psychodynamic psychotherapy, working face-to-face and on-line. Initially, we will meet to discuss how best to work together. Then, having agreed to travel this therapeutic journey with me, thinking together in our sessions, we can make conscious the ways in which past relationships, often family-related, continue to impact on patterns of behaviour and emotional resilience. Clients come to therapy seeking change and in a safe, confidential space, we can explore how to effect the change they wish to see. I welcome the gamut of concerns a client might wish to work through, with particular interest in the challenges of gender, addiction, family relationships, sexuality, bereavement, depression and anxiety. I work to the Code of Ethics of my Professional Standards Authority Register and have Professional Indemnity Insurance.
I am a qualified psychodynamic psychotherapist. Prior to training in this modality, I worked for almost twenty years for a national charity offering parenting support and counselling and extended that work to families living in recovery from addiction. If you would like time and space to talk about your sense of self and the things with which you are struggling, I can explore these things with you in a warm and inclusive way. The past establishes patterns that may be unhelpful; psychodynamic psychotherapy allows us to understand and be free of the patterns that prevent us living our best lives.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
