My Approach

My aim is to create a space where children, young people and parents feel safe to reflect and explore what is troubling them. My therapeutic stance is integrative - blending person centred presence with psychodynamic thinking to understand how unconscious patterns can drive behaviour. Our work together is to bring habitual patterns into conscious awareness to enable more choice in how we interact with life. I keep in mind the fact that social, cultural, and family contexts shape emotional wellbeing.

I am committed to creating an inclusive and supportive therapeutic space where children, young people, and parents feel understood and empowered.

I am passionate about how the creative arts and somatic awareness can play an integral role in supporting wholeness, agency, and therapeutic change.

About Me

I have been working for over 20 years with children, young people and families, helping them find ways of coping with life’s challenges to live a more fulfilling and enjoyable life.

I specialise in supporting children, young people and their families with the impact of trauma - often expressed through high anxiety or other forms of emotional dysregulation. I understand that these difficulties can show up in many ways - emotional overwhelm, withdrawal, violence, sleep difficulties, or challenges at school. I recognise that children often express their experiences through play, creativity, and the body, rather than through words alone.

Using a creative art-based approach alongside mindfulness-based wellness practices, I help children and young people safely explore their experiences, develop tools for emotional regulation, and build internal resources that support a sense of security, self-confidence, and self-esteem.

I offer in-person therapy and supervision in NW10 and online therapy, parental consultation and clinical supervision.

I am also a parent, yoga practitioner and music enthusiast.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

Working with clients who struggle to focus and concentrate means working with underlying fears and anxieties. This is approached with care and compassion to enable a broadening of what can be tolerated.
I have been supporting adopted children and families for over 10 years, helping them to understand the complex themes of loss, separation and anxiety.
Being able to regulate anger and other intense emotions enables healthy relationships to be developed and enjoyed.
I use somatic approaches and awareness exercises within a non judgmental environment to help clients to understand and manage anxiety.
Dealing with the impacts of parental separation on both children and parents can allow for greater healing and development for all parties.
