My Approach

My approach is based on Relational Transactional Analysis (TA) Psychotherapy, with a strong focus on the felt experience between myself and the other person. I focus on creating a thoughtful, safe and containing space in which to explore difficulties, and help to bring a considered perspective without intruding on the person I am with.

About Me

I am a Provisional Teaching and Supervisory Transactional Analyst (PTSTA). As a psychotherapist, I have over 10 years of working with clients in Exeter across a wide range of demographics and concerns. As a trainer, I enjoy sharing my experience of psychotherapy with trainees and co-operatively building understanding together.

  • Couples
  • Groups
  • Individuals

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I feel strongly about providing compassionate and informed therapy with people who have Autism, or who are in any way neurodiverse. I am supportive of those who are curious or unsure about their neurodiversity and are considering diagnosis or further exploration.
I have a deep understanding of chronic illness and I feel passionately about supporting clients who are chronically ill in their therapeutic journey.
I have worked for over 10 years for the local university offering specific support to students. In my private practice, I am used to supporting students over both the short and long term to address the particular challenges and stresses related to university life. This includes post-graduate and mature students, and many students from a wider range of cultures and backgrounds. I also work extensively with people in burnout or any work related stress or concerns.
