I am a big believer in reaching out and asking for professional help whenever that bit of extra support with life’s challenges is needed. Personally, I have first-hand experience of a wide variety of therapies and I understand what it is like to sit in the chair as a client.
Today, I hold my own therapy practice at Kensington Counselling and in Chiswick in London, which provides a tranquil, safe space for you to unravel some of your worries and difficulties in strict confidence.
Some people find that therapy can help to make sense of the past or help evolve and transform them into feeling like their ‘true-self’ again, perhaps after some of the most difficult periods or negative situations in their lives.
Whatever the particular issue is, I believe in working with my clients using a variety of approaches integrated to suit the individual.
I am a Relational Transactional Analysis (TA) Psychotherapist in advanced training, and believe in working with my clients using a variety of approaches integrated to suit the individual. This holistic approach using TA has proven to be very effective for helping individuals to come to terms with the past without digging too deeply into it, and has helped my clients to accept themselves fully and transform their quality of life.
Relational TA Psychotherapy has also helped my clients to improve how they communicate with others, significantly improving their relationships.
In terms of expertise I can help you with dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, loss and bereavement, low self-esteem, menstruation and hormonal issues, as well as IVF and fertility issues, sex and sexuality, difficulties with relationships or workplace issues, and of course major career transitions.
I can offer individuals and couples short-term (six -12 weeks) and long-term (open-ended) Psychotherapy sessions in person or via an encrypted video-call. Together, we can work at a pace that suits you, to help you to move through a difficult time and to overcome any barriers you have to feeling okay about yourself and thriving in your life.
As part of my therapeutic tool-box I am also a qualified Human Potential Coach (Dip. HPC) trained to use proven cutting-edge practical tools from the world of Positive Psychology, to help facilitate individuals in developing self-awareness, becoming more mindful, and empowering them to make positive changes in their lives.
Currently, I am registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) as a Relational Transactional Psychotherapist in advanced training, and I am bound by the UKCP’s ethical guidelines.
I am also a registered trainee member of the International Association of Relational Transactional Analysis (IARTA) and the European Association for Transactional Analysis (EATA).
As a requirement of the UKCP I am fully insured and I am in regular professional clinical supervision with some of the most experienced Clinical Supervisors in the industry, which provides a safe and high-quality environment required to work ethically whilst staying up-to-speed with the evolving nature of the psychotherapy world.
I truly believe that ‘one size does not fit all’ and apply this way of working to my clients, using methods from across the Psychology sector to help individuals understand themselves and reclaim that ‘inner strength’ and to shift away from a sense of something being wrong to feeling right again.
Whatever it is, together we can work on what it is you want to change, and formulate a way forwards towards genuine and lasting change.
