I am an experienced psychotherapist currently working in private practice in Frome, Somerset, as well as online. I bring warmth and compassion, and offer a safe and supportive space to explore the challenges that have brought you to therapy. I have an integrative person centred approach, and draw on a variety of theories to support each individual, including Gestalt, Transpersonal, Psychodynamic and Attachment Theory. I keep up to date with evidence based approaches to support trauma informed working, and am trained in Internal Family Systems (L2), EMDR (1-4), and Mentalisation Based Therapy. My original training was in Integrative Arts Psychotherapy (MA, distinction) at IATE, and I enjoy bringing creativity into the mix, with a focus on somatic experience and imagery. I also take psychotherapy work outdoors, and offer ecotherapy in woodland and open countryside. I have a background in working in diverse settings. As well as my private practice, I have over a decade of experience as an NHS psychotherapist, most recently as Lead Art Psychotherapist, and also offer individual and group supervision as well as reflective practice for teams. In the business world, I work as a trainer, facilitator and coach, and have specialised in creating resilience programmes, leadership training, storytelling workshops and mindfulness and wellbeing in the workplace.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
