My Approach

I am an Integrative Transpersonal Psychotherapist. My approach is a depth-oriented, rooted in Jungian theory and archetypal psychology. My training is trauma-informed, shaped by the latest developments in neuroscience, and grounded in culturally sensitive practice.

I also hold an Advanced Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling. Psychosynthesis is a humanistic therapy with psychodynamic roots.

I am trained in trauma informed therapy, mindfulness, CBT techniques, somatic awareness, compassion based therapy and guided imagery.

I facilitate personal development workshops and therapeutic groups working with meditation, symbols, myths and archetypes.

About Me

I am a warm, experienced Integrative Psychotherapist, offering in-depth weekly sessions to support you with whatever challenges you may be facing. I work with a range of issues, some of these include relationship difficulties, childhood trauma, low self-esteem, anxiety, and complex family dynamics. I am an LGBTQ+ affirmative therapist.

I understand that starting therapy can feel daunting. Together we can take things step by step, to help you to look at the reasons that brought you to therapy. I offer a compassionate space for you to unravel the strands of what you need to talk about. Undertaking the journey of therapy can give you the space you need to come back to yourself, to know yourself at a deeper level and to get in touch with what you need right now.

I can help you to gain an understanding of repeating patterns that underpin your dilemmas. Patterns are usually formed in childhood, taking shape in your family of origin, in school and in the wider cultural context. Working at depth in this way can help you to see where you might be stuck, and to consider what other possibilities might be open to you.

Rather than focusing on "what is wrong" with you, it can be helpful to look at what has happened to you and what is troubling you now. I work from the premise that mental health and wellbeing is not about fixing what is broken but about discovering the potential for wholeness and acceptance of who we are.

I offer a soulful and trauma-informed approach, where our work together goes beyond managing symptoms, inviting you to explore the deeper aspects of your story and understand underlying patterns that shape your experiences.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

In this highly stressful, complex world it is difficult to avoid feeling some anxiety. If you are experiencing anxiety in a way that feels overwhelming and is impacting on the quality of your life, I can help with gaining undertstaning of why anxiety is occuring for you and help you to find tools that can support you and bring some calm into your life.
Are you feeling unsafe in your relationshps? Feeling overattached? Or finding it difficult to stay in relationships? I offer support with helping with understanding triggers, fight, flight, freeze responses, attachment issues, abandonment terror and panic attacks,
I work with clients who have had adverse experiences or trauma as a result of difficulties within religious or spiritual contexts. I help people reclaim their inherent spirituality in a way that feels meaningful to them.
I offer long term support for trauma, particularly childhood trauma and CPTSD. I work with the understanding that we may not be able to heal our wounds entirely, but we can find ways to self care, experience joy and find meaning and purpose in our lives today.
