My Approach

I hold a Master's degree in Integrative Psychotherapy and am accredited by the UKCP, equipping me with the skills and knowledge to tailor our sessions to your unique needs.

With a holistic approach, I draw from a range of therapeutic methods to support you in achieving emotional balance, personal growth, and overall well-being. Whether you are looking to manage stress, heal from past trauma, or deepen your self-awareness, I am here to guide you every step of the way.

My work is relational, meaning that our sessions will take place in a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental space where we can explore the challenges you face. We will look closely at the root causes of these difficulties, particularly those that may stem from childhood, and understand how they continue to impact your present life. This deeper exploration helps uncover not only the "what" of your struggles, but also the "why," providing insight and clarity that pave the way for lasting healing and growth.

About Me

Hi, I’m Preya. As an Integrative Psychotherapist accredited by the UKCP, my goal is to support you in your unique therapeutic journey. I believe that healing begins with understanding and openness, and together, we will explore your experiences, thoughts, and feelings in a safe and compassionate space.

I recognize that each person’s experiences and challenges are unique, and I deeply appreciate the individual differences that shape our lives. My approach is built on the belief that you are the expert of your own experience. Together, we will work to empower you, helping you navigate life’s changes, build emotional resilience, and achieve your personal goals, both in therapy and beyond.

I understand that reaching out for support can feel daunting, and I want to meet you wherever you are in your journey. Choosing the right therapist is an important decision, and I offer a free telephone consultation to discuss your concerns, explore your goals, and answer any questions you may have.

I am a therapy provider for AXA. Aviva and WPA. If you have private health insurance please contact me prior to therapy as I require your authorisation number in order to proceed with therapy.

I look forward to supporting you on your path toward a healthier, more fulfilled life.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

My experience working within organisations that support individuals who have endured abuse has equipped me to approach these challenges with empathy, understanding, and without judgment. I recognise the complex relational dynamics that often accompany experiences of abuse, and I am committed to creating a safe and supportive space where we can work together to build safety, resilience, and healing.
I understand the profound impact that cultural background can have on an individual’s sense of self, mental well-being, and way of being in the world. Both personally and professionally, I am deeply interested in cultural issues, which allows me to approach the therapeutic process with cultural sensitivity and respect for your unique experiences. I strive to create a space where cultural factors are not only recognized but honoured, supporting you in navigating the complexities of your cultural identity. This commitment to cultural competence enriches my ability to help you explore how culture shapes your life, your relationships, and your place in the world.
I recognise that an individual’s experience is deeply shaped by their racial identity and the social dynamics around it. As someone from an ethnic minority background, I bring a personal understanding of the challenges and complexities faced by individuals navigating multiple racial identities. This insight allows me to offer empathetic support and a safe space to explore issues related to race, self-image, and identity. My commitment to racial competence drives my work, and I am dedicated to creating a therapeutic environment where racial dynamics are acknowledged and respected.
As a relational integrative psychotherapist, I have a deeper understanding of how essential relationships are to our well-being and sense of identity. I engage in a collaborative therapeutic relationship with you, offering respect, empathy, and compassion. This relationship provides a foundation for exploring the dynamics of both past and present relationships, and how they may be impacting you today. Together, we will work to re-experience these relational patterns, fostering insight and encouraging self-empowerment as you move toward healing and personal growth.
I recognize the many forms of trauma that individuals may experience and focus on the lasting impact trauma can have, rather than the trauma itself. Trauma often manifests in a range of emotions, thoughts, behaviours, and reactions that can feel overwhelming or confusing. My goal is to help you explore these experiences in a safe and supportive environment, allowing you to gain clarity, make sense of your feelings, and ultimately empower you to move forward in your life with greater resilience and understanding.
