Core Process Psychotherapy weaves together western psychodynamic thinking and trauma-informed understanding with Buddhist body-mind psychology and mindfulness practices. In our work together, mindfulness helps us pay attention to what is happening in the present moment, with kindness. You don’t need any experience of meditation or to hold a particular belief to benefit from this approach - just a willingness to bring yourself to sessions with openness and curiosity. As compassionate awareness grows, we can gently change how we relate to difficulty - and so discover more choice and freedom.
If you’re curious about working together, please get in touch. I offer a free 30 minute introductory meeting, which is an opportunity to see if we might work well together.
I'm an accredited Core Process Psychotherapist, based in Bristol. I offer a kind, steady, compassionate space. Together, we can explore what’s happening for you and what might support you in moving towards a meaningful and fulfilling life.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
