Drawing from systemic psychotherapy principles, I view individuals within the larger context of their relationships, families, and communities. This systemic lens allows us to explore the root causes of challenges while also integrating trauma-focused techniques, such as EMDR, to process and alleviate the effects of distressing experiences. The combination of these approaches creates a comprehensive and tailored therapeutic experience.
I am a dedicated psychotherapist with a deep commitment to helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life's challenges through a systemic lens. My approach is rooted in the belief that our well-being is intricately connected to the systems and relationships that shape our lives. With specialized training in systemic therapy, I bring a holistic perspective to the therapeutic process.
My Passion:
I am passionate about exploring the intricate interplay between individuals and their relational systems. Whether you're facing challenges within your family dynamics, relationships, or workplace, my goal is to collaboratively uncover patterns, promote understanding, and facilitate positive change. I believe that by addressing the whole system, we can create lasting transformation and foster resilience. I am passionate about exploring the interplay between individuals and their environments. Through a systemic lens, I aim to unravel the relational patterns, familial dynamics, and societal influences that shape one's narrative. This comprehensive understanding allows for a more holistic and compassionate therapeutic process. My strength-based approach is rooted in Systemic Theory. Empathy and humour play a significant role in my relational style.
I have worked with children, adolescents, and families with a variety of social, emotional, behavioural and learning issues. First, as a Clinical Social worker and Systemic Practitioner with children and adolescents that were being treated at Great Ormond Street Hospital. Since 2012 I have worked as a Family and Systemic Psychotherapist with individuals, couples and families in my private practice, The Brandon Centre and most recently the Local Authority.
I also work as a Family and Systemic Psychotherapist at The Tavistock Centre, a specialist mental health trust based in north London.
My therapy rooms are located in Kingston upon Thames.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
