My Approach

As a psychotherapist I work with individuals, groups and families to improve understanding of difficulties in relationships with self and others. I also offer supervision individually and in groups to therapist in training and also qualified therapists.

As group analyst I work with the group process including experiences and expertise within the group to promote understanding and change. Drawing an integrative relational approach (which is based on humanistic and psychodynamic models), I work with what my clients bring, varying my approach to honour each person’s uniqueness.

I work with anxiety, depression, low confidence and self esteem, trauma and abuse, work related stress, interpersonal/relationship issues, managing emotions, identity issues, cultural diversity issues including race, gender, sexuality, age and other diverse groups.

If you are interested in working through your struggles with me I will offer to meet with you for an individual assessment to gain a better under of your needs and to determine whether we can work together to meet those needs.

About Me

I am an accredited UKCP psychotherapist and a full clinical member and supervisor of the Institute of Group Analysis. I subscribe to the ethical framework of these organisations and I am required to meet the exacting standards and training requirements in order to be admitted to the register.

I have additional training including Person Centred, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, Solution Focused, Mentalisation Based Therapy and Mindfulness Therapy. I work with individuals, groups and couples drawing from a variety of approaches that my client is receptive to. I have over 20 years experience of working in the NHS, Charitable organisation and private practice. I also have substantial experience of Reflective Practice Groups and staff groups in organisations.
