I follow my client's pace and create an environment where they feel safe and accepted. By building a trusting therapeutic relationship, I aim to empower young individuals to develop self-awareness, build resilience and discover their unique strengths.
My integrative approach to therapy combines elements from multiple theoretical perspectives, including psychodynamic, cognitive–behavioural, child-centred and attachment. Working within these diverse frameworks, I tailor my interventions to suit the specific needs and preferences. Alongside talking, I use a wide variety of creative methods, such as art, sand tray, play and games, to encourage young people to explore their feelings and behaviour, aiming to help them find a healthy way to cope with life’s ups and downs.
I am an Integrative Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist with extensive training and experience working with children, adolescents, and their families.
I have worked with diverse populations of children and adolescents in various settings; schools, family centres and a refuge centre for women and children experiencing domestic violence.
I am passionate about helping young people navigate the complex and often challenging world of childhood and adolescence. Young people may experience difficulties at home or at school and struggle to express the way they feel. They may instead show their emotions, often forms of anxiety and/or depression, through their behaviours, such as self-harm and eating disorders.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
