I use an integrative approach that includes psychodynamic, existential, body, trauma, sensory-motor, attachment, gestalt, relational, mindfulness, CBT, REBT, and emotion-focused approaches. I also do solution-focused brief therapy.
As an Integrative Psychotherapist, I use different approaches to find what best suits your needs. I work holistically, attending to your mind, body, feelings and environment in the context of your past, here and now, and future. I offer my thoughts, feelings, emotions and senses, experience and skills, honesty, kindness, acceptance and support.
I worked within the specialised NHS services and in district counselling organisations before private practice. I am experienced in treating addictions, complex trauma, self-harm, anxiety, depression, borderline personality disorder and body dysmorphia. I help with issues around relationships, bereavement, sexuality, self-acceptance and self-esteem. I also provide ongoing support for individuals with ADHD, autism and bipolar disorder.
I have been working for several years as an Associated Counsellor with EAP providers such as CareFirst and Lifeworks, and with the youth mental health support program HealHub.
I have an MA and Advanced Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling (awarded by The Minster Centre and Middlesex University and accredited by UKCP), an MSc in Psychology (awarded by Middlesex University and accredited by BPS), a Diploma in Integrative Counselling (awarded by The Minster Centre and accredited by BACP), and Level 2 Qualification Certificate in Understanding Autism (awarded and accredited by NCFE CACHE).
I conduct face-to-face and online sessions. In exceptional circumstances, I do home visits.
I charge a reduced fee of £70 for the first session. For the following sessions, I charge £90. I offer a limited number of low-cost sessions to people on a low income.
When I work with couples, I charge £150 for a 90-minute session.
I am an accredited member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy, a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and a graduate member of the British Psychological Society (BPS). I am also a member of the Addiction Professionals (AP). I adhere to the UKCP, BACP, BPS and AP codes of ethics, maintain a non-judgmental stance and have great respect for differences and diversity in culture, religion, ethnicity, nationality, race, class, social status, sexuality, gender, neurodiversity and body differences.
I speak fluently in English and Russian and conduct therapy in either language.
