I am an existential psychotherapist, child psychotherapist, chartered counselling psychologist and registered supervisor.
I lecture in systemic psychotherapy, social and ethical issues, psychotherapeutic practice, and supervise and examine doctoral students at the University of the West of England and New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling.
Psychotherapy, for me, is the creation of a safe and open space, a real and authentic relationship where fears can be questioned and unspoken thoughts be voiced.
There are many ways to practice psychotherapy; my way of doing it would be best described as phenomenological. This means that my focus is on how you experience and make sense of your life, holding firmly that greater awareness creates opportunities for both acceptance and change.
