As an existential counsellor and psychotherapist I work with individuals who are seeking to improve their situation in life. You might be suffering from anxiety, depression, addiction, or just wanting to reflect on your position in the world and the decisions that have brought you to the present moment. Whatever the issue might be, talking through your problems can bring new light to how you see yourself and those around you.
I have over ten years’ experience working in mental health, and my initial training was in integrative counselling and psychotherapy. This gives me a grounding in the main counselling and therapeutic models which I combine with an overarching existential perspective informed by continental philosophy.
My way of working is tailored to the individual needs of the client, with a focus on collaboration. During sessions we will work together to understand your problems and how they might be overcome. This is done in a confidential and non-judgemental manner, with emphasis on empowering you to clear away the obstacles that might be holding you back in life.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
