Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy from an Integrative perspective, is where the need for attachment and relationship, as a primarily human need, are met through a meaningful contact in relationship (therapy) through a safe environment we can increase awareness and begin steps to discover the split off part of ourselves and address the interruptions in development and attachment.
I am a Certified Transactional Analyst Psychotherapist (CTA) and member of UKATA and EATA, and also have Senior Accreditation with BACP and have been practicing for 20 years. I have previously worked within a government agency setting (in house), Relate (relationships), and have undertaken psychiatric placements within both acute and forensic settings.
I currently work in both NHS and Private Practice working with people who struggle with mental ill health.
I work with adults, and couples in both long and short term face to face psychotherapy, and integrate my training in Transactional Analysis with my additional training in Psychodynamic, Attachment theory as well as Couple Therapy.
I believe that as everyone is unique and has different needs, so too must approaches adapt and using TA in an integrative way, these needs are better met.
I have experience of working with a wide range of presenting issues, and my approach when working with people is primarily relational (interactive) and is based on initially understanding fully the issues and personal meaning and then attending to also the relational needs and core issues supporting this in order to assist the creation of new and satisfying experiences which can be integrated as part of themselves
My areas of interest are: depression, anxiety, identity issues, organisational issues, relationship issues, abuse and personal exploration.
Fees £60 -£70
