UKCP has moved to York House, 221 Pentonville Road, London N1 9UZ. We are updating the address listed in all our documents, please bear with us as we make these changes.
I am a relational integrative therapist and supervisor who is also a level 3 trained, Internal Family Systems (IFS) practitioner. I offer a compassionate challenging approach, with the hope of getting to the depths of what is causing inner distress or conflict. I incorporate dream work, Shadow work, psychodynamic understanding, mindfulness, somatic experiencing, neuroscience and humanistic approaches. Understanding and making meaning of experience is at the heart of my practice.
I trained at BCPC (Bath centred for psychotherapy and counselling) and have engaged with a broad range of issues whilst seeing students and adults in private practice and I specialise in working with Trauma, particularly developmental trauma. I explore how early experiences can have an impact on the ‘here and now’ creating a safe and genuine relationship as the foundation of the work. I work with both individuals and couples.
Alongside my private practice I manage a counselling service in a local further and higher education college where I supervise a team of 9 therapists. I also work with inpatient and outpatients offering 1 to 1 and group therapy at the Priory hospital in Bristol. Finally, I am a tutor on the BCPC counselling foundation course in Bath.
I am a qualified UKCP Supervisor with CSTD (The Centre for Supervision Training and Development).
I have assisted on a two year Healing the Shadow practitioner diploma which is a specially designed shadow work model which explores your unconscious through a creative parts work process.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
