My Approach

I am a relational integrative therapist and supervisor who is also a level 3 trained, Internal Family Systems (IFS) practitioner. I offer a compassionate challenging approach, with the hope of getting to the depths of what is causing inner distress or conflict. I incorporate dream work, Shadow work, psychodynamic understanding, mindfulness, somatic experiencing, neuroscience and humanistic approaches. Understanding and making meaning of experience is at the heart of my practice.

About Me

I offer couples therapy, supervision and one to one counselling. I am a Level 3 trained Internal Family Systems therapist and will complete my IFS Couples training (IFIO) in August 2-24. I trained at BCPC (Bath centred for psychotherapy and counselling) and have engaged with a broad range of issues whilst seeing students and adults in private practice and I specialise in working with Trauma, particularly developmental trauma. I explore how early experiences can have an impact on the ‘here and now’ creating a safe and genuine relationship as the foundation of the work. I also work offer one to one and group supervision and run inpatient, supportive psychotherapy and IFS therapy group for The Priory Hospital every week. .

Until recently, I managed a counselling service in a local further and higher education college where I supervised a team of 9 therapists. I was a tutor for two years on the BCPC counselling foundation course in Bath.

I am a qualified UKCP Supervisor with CSTD (The Centre for Supervision Training and Development).

I have assisted on a two year Healing the Shadow practitioner diploma which is a specially designed shadow work model which explores your unconscious through a creative parts work process.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I welcome all aspects of you, especially your protective system which is often very misunderstood. If you think you are over or under expressing anger, I can support you in getting a deeper understanding around this and hopefully free up your system to be able to express more assertively.
I specialise in working with all kinds of trauma. IFS and Shadow work therapy are very effective at releasing trauma from your system and getting you back in touch with lost part of yourself.
