Are you mixed race, biracial or multi-heritage?
Perhaps you are monoracial (of any singular race) with parents or a partner from different cultural backgrounds or ethnicities?
So many of us from multicultural backgrounds feel like we aren't sure how to talk about the challenges that come with our experiences - and how they might have affected us..
Reflecting on how your mixed or multicultural experience has impacted you is essential as this is an often totally missed area of our identity. This experience goes hand in hand with feeling like a 'cultural outsider' where others don't understand our racial and/or cultural experience and/ or expression, which can be isolating - as you may not feel you fit into or belong in any group at all..
I really want to reassure you that you are not alone! As mixed heritage and multicultural people we have grown up without the language to describe how we feel about what has happened in our family or society regarding the complexity of our mixedness. Coming to therapy to investigate and process your own highly specific mixed background can be very helpful in unearthing how your unique background often interrelates with deeper problems that you struggle to get to the bottom of!
I work within a transpersonal transcultural integrative framework using psychodynamic, humanistic, existential and Jungian methods such as bodywork, breathwork, meditation, visualisation and dreamwork to build a deeper connection to self. I harness a depth psychology approach working with your unconscious to look into the areas that may have been missed in your previous self understanding of your mixed and multicultural identity.
If you are interested in working with me please do email me and we can arrange a free 30 minute introductory meeting and assessment where you can tell me a bit about yourself and your goals for therapy.
I trained at the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education (CCPE) initially in a one-year foundation followed by a four-year Post-Graduate Diploma in Transpersonal Intergrative Psychotherapy. I now specialise in working with multi-heritage and multicultural identity in all it's varied forms.
I began my counselling journey at St Josephs Hospice in Hackney working with bereavement and loss. I then joined The Caravan drop-in counselling service, in St James’ Piccadilly, followed by three years as a therapist with Frontline Therapy which specialised in supporting BIPOC clients. Following this I undertook my psychiatric training placement at the Maudsley Hospital in South London. I am a member of the Black and Asian Therapists Network (BAATN).
Before becoming a psychotherapist, I had a twenty year career working within the media and entertainment industry. I'm mixed myself (Sri-Lankan and Dutch) and I have just completed my first book ’The Mixed and Multiracial Guide to wellness: Navigating Family + Healing + Identity' for Jessica Kingsley Publishing (JKP) - out November 2025. I also run my own courses and facilitate therapeutic groups and healing circles.
I am currently working online only and sessions are 50mins weekly. My fees are £90-120.

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
