I provide psychotherapy from an attachment-based approach within a relational psychodynamic model to help clients improve the quality of their relationships and their life. In essence, I believe the effectiveness of psychotherapy is based on two complementary elements. The first is the understanding and insight that emerges during therapy about repeating patterns in a client's relationships, both current and past. We all carry an internal working model of relationships and often find ourselves repeating patterns in our dealings with other people. The second key element of psychotherapy centres on the healing capacity of a positive and collaborative relationship between client and therapist. Together, these complementary strands of psychotherapy create the conditions in which meaningful change and personal development can take place.
I am a registered psychotherapist working in private practice. I was born in France where I qualified as a lawyer and practised for several years before training as a psychotherapist. I have been particularly influenced by psychodynamic and attachment theories. I work in English and in French and my clinical practice includes working with cross-cultural issues, anxiety, depression, traumatic events, dependency, self-harm and eating disorders. I am an active member of The Bowlby Centre. For more information, please visit my website or contact me.
