My Approach

I offer compassionate and engaging talking therapy for the diversity of cultural backgrounds, spiritual beliefs, sexual preferences and political opinions that step into therapy. This can be INDIVIDUAL THERAPY, EMDR or COUPLES THERAPY - please see my website for more details.

I hope to facilitate you to challenge yourself towards fresh choices with the material that you are bringing.

My approach is playful and creative, using a variety of experiential activities and a mix of therapeutic methods. This is an ‘Integrative’ approach, blending various ideas to support you in your venture into yourself.

Some examples of therapies I have experience with include Person-centred, Gestalt and experiential drama therapy, Art therapy, Psychodynamics, Internal Family Systems and Somatics; I believe the body is a useful barometer in understanding how emotions, thoughts and behaviours emerge.

About Me

I have been practising for over 10 years and have experience working with a variety of issues and struggles. I previously worked within the NHS and the charity sector, and now I work solely in a private practice.

I have full clinical membership with the UKCP. I am also a registered independent therapist for Bupa, AXA, Vitality Health and Aviva - if you are seeking therapy via any of these organisations, please get in touch.

Outside of my job, I spend time gardening and on countryside rambles with a dog, attempting DIY art projects, and capturing quirky moments through photography.

To get a sense of me in person, I offer a free phone call consultation - please request this on my appointments page via my website.

I have specific experience supporting autistic and aspergic persons, and am familiar working with a range of neurodivergent personalities.
I trained in IAPT counselling for couples during depression, and have worked with couples during marriage conflict, and those learning to live with long term health conditions.
I have specific experience supporting individuals who have faced both historical and ongoing domestic abuse dynamics.
I have special experience and training working with clients to explore challenges around sexuality and intimacy.
