Hello! I work with children and young people as individuals, with family groups and with parents as individuals or couples. I'm an Integrative Child Psychotherapist, Educational Psychotherapist and qualified teacher. I've also completed training in systemic practice (1 year certificate), Story Stem Assessment (accredited), ARC trauma-informed framework (Attachment, Regulation and Competency), The Incredible Years Parenting programme, Theraplay /MIM (Level 1 and 2) and Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (Level 1 and 2). I use both talking approaches and a variety of arts, play and story based techniques in my therapy work. I worked for over 12 years’ at Islington CAMHS (North London), including working as part of a dedicated multi-disciplinary team for looked after children. I currently work as part of the team at TouchBase in Hove, providing attachment and trauma-informed therapy to families and support to schools and for therapeutic fostering organisations. Previously, I have worked as a therapist in a variety of community and school-based projects and as a primary school teacher and SENCO. I have a particular interest in supporting, children, young people and families to understand and process the impact of separation, loss, neglect and abuse by using relationship and creativity to build attachment security, emotional awareness, healing and growth. I also work more generically to support children and young people with anxiety, anger, depression and other emotional difficulties and I work with parents to support children in these areas. My private therapy work is based in Lewes, East Sussex and online via Zoom. I am available for clinical supervision face to face, on the phone or online.
