I primarily utilise a branch of psychotherapy known as Transactional Analysis which can be modified and used in many different ways depending on your individual needs. I also draw upon and integrate different techniques from my Continual Professional Development training so as to tailor my approach to you as a unique individual. I am very passionate about empowering you with more knowledge and understanding about your experiences and increasing self-awareness/self-care through a holistic approach enabling you to have healthier perspectives of your life.
I am a fully qualified psychotherapist trained in Transactional Analysis and accredited by the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy. I am also a Registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and am therefore subject to the ethical codes and procedures of these organisations. I have been in successful private practice since 2009 providing therapy for individual adults, groups and couples. I am also a secondary school counsellor for children and young people working in Tameside since 2012. I have completed further training in Clinical Supervision (2016) and provide supervision for trainee and qualified therapists alongside reflective practice supervision for individuals and groups in charity organisations.
In addition to my private practice, I have volunteered at a local women’s centre providing therapy and facilitating groups, CYP Mind , The National Bereavement Partnership and a dementia support group.
